The title relates to the theme because the theme is the most dangerous game to hunt and the title basically tells you that, The Most Dangerous Game.

The main conflict is man vs. man, Zaroff hunting Rainsford and theme, most dangerous game to hunt being Rainsford.






How does the climax help to illustrate the theme?
The climax being Rainsford coming from behind the curtain and killing General Zaroff, and the theme since it has to do with hunting, someone had to win (one had to die).

Irony: The fact that Rainsford loved to hunt, yet when he got to the island he was the one being to hunted.




Imagery: “There was no sound in the night as Rainsford sat there, but the muffled throb of the engine that drove the yacht swiftly through the darkness, and swish and ripple of the wash of the propeller.”

Survival of the fittest this plays a role both in the story and humanity. Rainsford had to fight for his life while he was being hunted by General Zaroff, Rainsford was the fittest in the end. For humanity this is the struggle for everyday life.
